We specialize in helping stillwater fly anglers make the transition from lakes to river fishing, covering all aspects including fly selection, line management, reading the water and safe wading. These sessions on the River Coln, will equip you with the skills you need to catch wild trout and grayling on clear streams.
Our half-day introductory lessons for beginners are extremely popular, giving someone who has always wanted to learn to fly fish the chance to try it out and see if the sport is for them. These sessions are generally run on one of our local trout lakes which offer a peaceful and secluded location, perfect for learning. And they are well stocked with hard-fighting trout so there’s every chance of success!
We also offer casting lessons, helping experienced anglers improve their casting technique and learn new skills like double hauling and spey casting. These are perfect preparation for anyone planning to try salmon or saltwater fishing for the first time.
